I love Ian Bogost's works and provocations! Can't wait to listen to this. The return to tactile pleasure is not anti-gaming. Many of the best games understand that basic tactile pleasure make for the best games. It's why some things are oddly fun: Paper's Please; the shaving game on Wario Ware; and breaking blocks in Donkey Kong Bonanza. I guess this is just "game-feel" but it doesn't hurt to examine its analogue.
